Approval to purchase the 2024 Ford F550 Bucket Truck for the Street Department

SUMMARY: The Street department manager has obtained a quote for the purchase of a Ford F550 bucket truck from Ford of Murfreesboro. The quote for the bucket truck would be purchased on State contract for $188,062.87. The Street department manager has reviewed the quote and recommends purchasing the bucket truck.
The purchase was budgeted for and approved in the 2023/2024 budget for $90,000. A budget amendment will be necessary for the excess amount of $98,062.87.
It is anticipated the delivery date for the vehicle may be in the 2024/2025 budget year.
