Discussion and action on Centennial Park splash pad

SUMMARY:
Council member Danny Wyatt will lead a discussion on the splash pad for Centennial Park. At a meeting held on September 16, 2016, a motion was passed “that the City Manager be authorized to negotiate a contract with Hart Freeland Roberts for engineering/design services for a splashpad at Centennial Park.” No contract was ever brought back to City Council for action by Interim City Manager Steve Hill. If the Council wants to proceed with the project, the City Manager recommends rescinding that action and take proposals for a design/build project. A budget for the project would need to be set.
