Approval to use City-owned property for 2021 State Sporting Clay Shooting Tournament

SUMMARY: The Crossville Shooting Sports Park has requested to use City-owned property at the old landfill for temporary shooting stands in order to submit a proposal to host the 2021 State Sporting Clay shooting tournament at the park. This would bring in about three hundred shooters for three to four days and provide good publicity for the area. The City Engineer has reviewed the site and does not find a conflict with the landfill site. The event would take place in September 2021, but deadline for submittal is the first week in September. Staff recommends approval for the use of City property.
