Acceptance of $5,000 GHSO grant for High Visibility Enforcement

SUMMARY:
The Governor's Highway Safety Office has approved a $5,000 grant contract to cover salary costs involved in Alcohol Countermeasures. These can include training for police offices in DUI prosecution techniques and reporting; activities to decrease the number of DUI crashes, DUI toxicology testing; youth alcohol programs; activities to reduce DUI repeat offender behavior, designated driver programs; and programs to improve prosecution and reduce the backload of DUI cases pending in courts.
