Approval of purchase and change order for Post Frame Building-Utility Maintenance Department

SUMMARY: Two bids were received on January 24, 2023 for the construction of a post frame building for the utility maintenance department. Stubbs Construction was the low bidder in the amount of $56,430.00 and the other bidder was HL Construction in the amount of $90,984.57. Staff recommends awarding the bid to low bidder Stubbs Construction.
The bids received were based upon incorrect building specifications; therefore, approval of a change order in the amount of $2,500 is requested to correct the additional materials required to satisfy Building Code requirements.
