Title
Discussion regarding Meadow Park Lake expansion
Body
SUMMARY: Proposals have been received for the full delivery services for compensatory mitigation. In order to move forward with awarding the proposal for this work, a contract must be developed and negotiated with the proposer.
The next step for J.R. Wauford and Company is to develop a contract with the proposed selected proposer for full delivery services for compensatory mitigation. Their anticipated cost for this is $10,000. We believe the City Attorney would also have a cost of $10,000 for this work.
The Meadow Park Lake expansion contract amendment number 6 with J.R. Wauford and Company is attached, which includes the contract development, the completion of the Army Corp permit, and the TDEC Permit for the Meadow Park Lake Expansion Project in an amount not to exceed $100,000.
Additional components of the amendment include:
• $30,000 for work already performed, but in excess of the budget amount established by Engineering Agreement No. 5
• $60,000 for preparing the initial draft Section 404 Department of the Army Permit application adequate to allow the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to public notice the proposed permit, completion of the alternatives analysis, and completion of the Section 404 Department of the Army Permit application and the Aquatic Resource Alteration Permit application / Section 401 Water Quality Certification request incorporating comments by appropriate federal and state agencies.
If the City plans on moving forward with the expansion of the Meadow Park Lake reservoir, City Staff recommends the approval of amendment 6.
There is money budgeted for this contract amendment.
