Approval of resolution to submit application and receive ARPA funds

SUMMARY: The City of Crossville has been appropriated $2,113,187.85 by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).  Staff requests approval to submit an application and receive these funds and commit to the maximum 15% local match.  The amount could be reduced to 10% if the projects address the critical needs identified on the infrastructure scorecard.  Projects proposed by Staff: Genesis/I-40 Sewer upgrade, SCADA upgrade, I & I, and Hwy 127/I-40 sewer upgrade.

 

Cumberland County has also received funds and proposes to transfer an amount to the City of Crossville if approved by the Cumberland County Commission. The amount will be $1,436,564.55 based upon cost estimates of the projects prioritized by the Mayors. Staff requests approval to receive the funds. Projects to be funded through County funds:  Catoosa/Creston area waterline improvements, Cumberland County jail bar screen, Tansi emergency station sewer pump, Peavine/I-40 sewer upgrade, Holiday Plant water pump drives, and Obed River bar screen.
