Approval to explore the potential for a CDBG application for housing

SUMMARY:
Discussions have started on potential application for CDBG funding in 2016. Staff is looking at a potential housing grant, which would provide 100% funding for the renovation of homes for owner-occupied low to moderate income citizens. If the Council is interested in exploring this potential, it is time to identify some areas and do some inspections that would be required for the application. There will no cost to the City for this initial work. Should the grant be funded, those doing the work would be hired to provide the administrative and inspection work during the project.
