Matters relative to truck driving training classes

SUMMARY:
As discussed in previous meetings, the City is agreeing to lease property in the industrial park for a hands-on trucking driving class. An agreement has been prepared by the City Attorney and City Clerk to outline the responsibilities. The document has been provided to all parties for their review.
The motion at the August 16th meeting read “that the recommendation of the Interim City Manager be approved in regard to the commercial driver education facilities for TLD with the City contributing $5,000 toward the gravel expenses, and that the remaining costs be assumed by TLD as well as responsibility for adding gravel to the base as needed, under the same conditions as previously discussed”. Clarification is requested as to whether the $5,000 included the cost of city labor and equipment.
