Discussion and action on Safe Routes to Schools sidewalk project

SUMMARY:
As reported at the work session, city staff requests a budget of $100,000 for acquisition and utilities for the sidewalk project. In order to follow federal procurement requirements, approval is requested for the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk to proceed with acquisition under the federal guidelines within this budget is requested. All negotiations and approvals must be kept confidential until the project is closed and cannot come before the City Council for approvals on specific parcels.
BUDGET ACCOUNT: 110-43100-950-001 (money is available in 2013-14 budget and will be carried over to the 2014-15 budget)
