SUMMARY: Metro Communications is presenting the cost and requirements to the Police Department to go to the digital radio systems that THP are putting in our area and what the State of Tennessee is also offer to us by going to this system. The investment cost for the new equipment is expected to be approximately $90,000 with an annual maintenance fee about $11,500 per year. Some of the initial cost should be offset by trading in the current equipment.
