Approval to contract with VEC for the field lighting replacement at Warner Complex

SUMMARY: VEC has finished the estimate for the field lighting system at the Warner Complex at a price not to exceed $364,200. The City would pay for this system monthly with a monthly price not to exceed $3,642 for ten years. This monthly payment is 1% of the total project cost. This is basically financing the system at a rate of 3.74%. Staff recommends the approval of a contract with VEC. The electricity for the system is billed additionally.
A decision is needed quickly so that the equipment can be ordered and installation can start in August and be completed with minimal damage to the fields.
