Approval of bid award-Tree Obstruction Clearing

SUMMARY: Staff solicited bids for the tree obstruction clearing project for runways 8 & 20 approach surfaces encompassing 11.75 acres. Due to limitations of the easements, some trees will only be trimmed while others will be cut entirely. Bids were received July 19, 2022. Only one bid was received in the amount of $850,100 from Cleary Construction. Adjustments were made regarding the method of tree removal and the bid was reduced to $677,800. The City is applying for a grant to fund the project and will be responsible for a match of $16,875.
