SUMMARY:
The Crossville Fire Department solicited bids for the two-year purchase of firefighter uniforms for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 fiscal years. BKT Uniforms is listed as the low bid on the bid tabulation sheet; however we fully evaluated the bid sheet based on the normal yearly purchases and found that CMS Uniforms is actually the low bid. In a "Normal" uniform expense per firefighter, CMS uniforms is $229.30 per set and BKT is $245.73 per set. We, therefore, recommend that CMS Uniforms be awarded the uniform bid for the next two fiscal years.
