Discussion regarding approval of Fire Station 2 Change Order 1

SUMMARY: A change order is recommended for the Fire Station 2 project with King Construction Group, Inc. The change order only increases the contract time by 41 days because of weather delays. No weather delays were recorded after July 2025 because work affected by weather after this date was not in the critical path of substantial completion. The additional days change the substantial completion date to January 19, 2026.

 

The Director of Engineering recommends the approval of the change order based on the documentation of the Architect.

NECESSARY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve Change Order 1 for the Fire Station 2 project.
