Annexation Request for Tax Map 074 parcel 047.00 Virgil Smith Road. - Annexation Review and Recommendation

SUMMARY: The property owners of Tax Map 074 parcel 047.00 have requested annexation. They are proposing a 29-lot single family residential subdivision. City Staff has spoken with the property owners and made them aware that a water line upgrade would be required as well as an extension of sewer. Per the Mainline Extension Ordinance and the type of development they are requesting the annexation for, the responsibility of the water line upgrade as well as the extension of the sewer would be theirs. They have stated in their annexation request that they would be responsible for the utility improvements and extensions.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends moving forward with the annexation process. If recommended by the Planning Commission, then the first public hearing for the plan of services will be on November 19^th and then appear before the Crossville City Council at their December 1^st work session and December 8^th meeting.
