SUMMARY:
The City is required to maintain a performance bond for the proper operation and closure and/or post-closure of the landfill located off Chestnut Hill Road. However, the State allows a contract in lieu of the Performance Bond to cover the 30 year period that ends in 2025. It is amended yearly to reduce the amount of the financial assurance.
