SUMMARY:

At the August 5^th meeting of the Building and Grounds Committee for Cumberland County, they recommended that the name of the Visitor's Center be changed to “Crossville-Cumberland County Visitor's Center:  The Gateway to the Big South Fork”.  This recommendation is contingent on there being no extra cost for the signage.  Approval by the City Council, as well as the County Commission, is required.  Building and Grounds Chair Sonya Rimmer will be present at the Council meeting to answer any questions.

As an update on the project, the Notice to Proceed was issued on July 8 and the footings and foundation are under construction.  By contract, the substantially complete date is December 6, 2013.
