SUMMARY: The Fire Department recommends CMS uniforms for the uniform bid award for the upcoming budget cycle. DJ’s Uniforms were the low bid, but the boots they bid are not equal to the bid specifications. As well, they will charge an additional $14 per shirt to add patches and embroidery. This makes the shirts $45 each, which will cost an additional $1,248 over CMS. CMS will do all patches for free and only charge $4 for embroidery. CMS is a reputable company with a good service record in the past to the Fire Department and currently for the Police Department.
