Approval of Temporary Closure of East Second Street

SUMMARY: The Architect representing Cumberland County has requested that East Second Street, shown in red on the attached map, be closed for 10 months for the demolition and reconstruction of a portion of the Archives Building. The parking, shown in green, would be closed for 14 months which is the duration of the project. The City will receive new sidewalk and curb and gutter in the area of the parking and the Contractor will be responsible for signage and safety fence.
The City Manager and the Director of Engineering recommend the approval of the closure.
