Approval adding MLK Day, President's Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day as holidays being observed by the City

SUMMARY:
As another benefit to the city employees, the city manager proposes that the City observe four additional state and federal holidays: MLK Day (January); President's Day (February); Columbus Day (October), and Veteran's Day (November). MLK, President's and Columbus days are all observed on Mondays. Veteran's Day is observed on November 11. If approved, these days would be observed beginning 2014. On these days, state and federal offices are closed, as well as banks and the post office.
There would be minimal impact to the budget.
