SUMMARY: The City requested bids for a Voice over IP phone system based on the brand of ESI in order to maintain compatibility with our existing ESI phones. Frontier offered a substantially lower bid for a system by Mitel, which, according to Frontier technicians will be compatible with our digital ESI phones. In addition, Frontier offered an additional training course for the IT Department, valued at $2,000. The course will allow a City employee to become a certified Mitel technician.
