SUMMARY: The existing airport beacon light has a dedicated meter and the underground service is routed through the terminal building and through the old runway power regulator, which is located to the east of the terminal building and meanders to the beacon tower. There are several unknowns on the exact routing of this service wire and should a problem occur with the service, it would be replaced in its entirety.
Change Order 1 for this project includes reworking the beacon electrical service into the lighting control room in the maintenance hangar, providing a splice kit in the runway lighting circuit for the FAA REIL lights, and installing proper splice connectors on the taxiway lighting circuit. This change order also removes the directional bores that were included in the project.
The total change in monies for this change order is a deduct of $20,267.00.
