Matters relative to Lantana Road and West Avenue Signal Light

Currently, the Lantana Road and West Avenue signal light services the priority to Old Lantana Road. With the opening of the new Lantana Road, the Street Department has realized a significant traffic pattern change. The Street Department gathered traffic count data for the area and it did support the theory of the traffic pattern change.
It is recommended that the signal be adjusted to give priority to the West Avenue and Azalia Avenue traffic movement. With this change, the Street Department would like to remove the STOP on West Adams Street at the intersection of Old Mail Road/Gridiron and West Adams. This change will allow better flow and natural progression of traffic through West Adams Street. Traffic count data does support that this is now the primary flow of traffic for the intersection.
