SUMMARY: The Street Department manager has received a quote from CMI Equipment Sales, Inc. for a Schwarze A4 Storm Street Sweeper. The current street sweeper is having ongoing breakdowns and repairs. Even with all the repairs made to the current sweeper, it is not performing as well as it once did. CMI Equipment Sales, Inc. has a contract with the State of Tennessee, Central Procurement Office. State bid price for the street sweeper is $162,288.00. The Street Department manager has reviewed the quote and recommends purchasing the street sweeper. This is not a budgeted item.
