Lantana Annexation for 125M A 006.01 - Review and Recommendation

SUMMARY: The property owner of Tax Map 125M A 006.01 has requested annexation for the purpose of connection to the City sewer system. There is currently a sewer line across Lantana Road from the property. However, the City is scheduled to put out for bid sometime next year for a sewer line extension along the same side of the road as the requesting property. Staff has discussed this with the property owner and they are willing to wait till the line is installed instead of paying a higher cost to bore Lantana Road. They do wish to move forward with the annexation.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends moving forward with the annexation process.
