Ordinance amending Title 8 of the Crossville Municipal Code regarding alcoholic beverages

SUMMARY:

The Tennessee General Assembly approved Public Chapter No. 861 that makes changes regarding alcoholic beverages.  One of the changes redefines the alcoholic content of beer from "not more than five percent by weight" to "not more than eight percent by weight".  The ordinance presented to Council for passages updates the Crossville Municipal Code to coincide with State law.
