SUMMARY: Request the approval of the purchase of a new survey grade GPS antenna and data collector from Precision Products for a total purchase price of $13,999.00 with trade in. This purchase is being treated as a sole source vendor due to the fact that no other companies can give pricing inside Tennessee. The older equipment that the city currently has will be traded in on the new equipment. The older equipment is almost ten years old and needs the internal battery replaced and requires a firmware update that will cost more than new equipment.

NECESSARY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve the sole source purchase of the GPS equipment from Precision Products at the cost of $13,999.00 with the trade in of the old equipment.
