SUMMARY: The State of Tennessee has established an “Open Roads Policy”, which is an agreement between law enforcement agencies, TDOT, and the Department of Safety and Homeland Security to ensure the expeditious removal of vehicles, cargo, and debris from roadways on the State Highway system to restore safe and orderly flow after a traffic incident. The agreement is attached for review.
