Approval to lower Taylor Street Speed Limit

SUMMARY: The Director of Schools has requested flashing school signals on Taylor Street for the Phoenix School. City Staff has discussed the signage and the Director of Schools has agreed that “static signage” without lights is acceptable. With the TAD Center and Garrison Park in the same area, the Director of Engineering recommends lowering the speed limit to fifteen miles per hour for the portion of Taylor Street from Miller Avenue to North Street. A map is attached.
