Ordinance adding Title 1, Chapter 8 to the Crossville Municipal Code regarding public records

SUMMARY:
As originally recommended by the State and MTAS, the City adopted a resolution establishing the procedures and fees for the inspection of, access to, and duplication of public records. In a case involving the City of Hendersonville, the Office of Opens Records Counsel advised that the procedures for cities under a Mayor-Aldermanic charter should be adopted by ordinance rather than resolution. Even though, the City is under a Private Act Charter, MTAS recommends that we codify the procedures and fees. The ordinance is essentially the same as the current resolution so there will be no change in how we operate in this regard.
