Narcissus Street/Westheria Drive/Iris Circle abutment project

SUMMARY:
A public hearing is required to receive input from the property owners on the proposed abutment project for road and sewer improvements. As approved at the September Council meeting, the project will move forward if 51% of the property owners are in favor of the project with the costs being shared 75%/25% and a ten-year payback. Letters were mailed on September 12 by certified/return receipt mail to all property owners with information regarding the public hearing and about the project.
Any owner of property to be benefited may appear to be heard as to:
- Whether the proposed improvement shall be undertaken as planned, or abandoned;
- Whether the nature and scope of the improvement should be altered; and
- Whether the improvement should be finance through the issuance of bonds on the "assessed value basis" as authorized by T.C.A. ยง7-33-303, et seq.
