SUMMARY: The City of Crossville Fire Department is proposing an addition to its existing Fire Station 1. The addition consists of an apparatus bay, a truck bay, and an interconnection hallway, totaling 5,968 square feet. The right-of-way where this addition is proposed, formerly Municipal Avenue, was abandoned several years ago. The City is requesting a setback variance for the proposed addition from Irwin Avenue. The addition will be 21 feet from the property line, requiring a 9-foot setback variance. The proposed addition is in line with the existing fire station structure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the variance, due to aligning with other structures in the area and the approval of the site plan.
