Discussion on animal control issues

Body

SUMMARY:

Karen McMeekin, representing A Time 4 Paws, will be discussing programs in regards to animal control.  They will present a draft ordinance with will allows A Time 4 Paws and three other local rescue organizations to completely handle (in cooperation with the city animal control and shelter) the entire city of Crossville’s community cat population.  They believe that a successful community cat program eliminates the need for them to be picked up, trapped, housed, and killed and it is more cost effective to the city and will create and sustain a successful program.

In addition, they will be presenting draft ordinances on tethering and rescuing of animals.
