SUMMARY:
As reported by the City Manager in an e-mail message dated April 13, “The Street Department has a front-end loader that is down and really not worth fixing. It is in the capital budget for replacement next year (July 17). There is more than enough money in the sidewalk budget to cover anything we could do this year and pay for a new loader without having to do a budget amendment. If there is no objection, I am going to pull the trigger and get this rolling since it is hurting the department’s ability to do its job. State Contract price is $127,000 after receiving a $20,000 trade-in allowance for the non-functioning loader.” The final cost is $127,167.75 under a state bid contract.
