SUMMARY: The Police Department is requesting to purchase a canine from Southern Police Canine to replace one of the older canine’s retiring within the next 8 to 12 months. Another canine will be retiring in about 18 months, which will not be replaced. The total cost for the canine and training will be $14,000.00. The purchase will be funded through the Drug Fund.
