SUMMARY: With more development happening and some of them larger developments that may require offsite improvements, Staff has noticed a need to be able to accept financial guarantees on site plans for offsite improvements.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends changing the Site Plan Review ordinance to allow the Planning Commission to accept financial guarantees for required offsite improvements. Attached is a marked-up version of the ordinance with notes on the proposed changes. If the Planning Commission recommends moving forward with the changes, then Staff will prepare the ordinance in the proper format and submit the proposed changes to the City Council.

NECESSARY PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: Recommend to proceed with the proposed changes to the Site Plan Review Ordinance and submit to Council for adoption.
