Approval of grant application for Urban Forester

SUMMARY: The City Manager requests permission to apply for the Urban and Forestry Assistance Grant. The City falls within the eligible area. Funds would be used for potentially hiring an urban forester (either on contract or temporary employee) to train Recreation and Maintenance staff in proper care and pruning of trees, establish tree plan for Garrison Park, and work on an elimination and replacement plan for Bradford Pears throughout the City.
