Title
Ordinance amending the FY12-13 budget for additional match funds for raw water supply study by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Body
SUMMARY:
The Corps of Engineers has $186,000 of federal funds projected to be carried over to FY13 for the raw water supply feasibility study and environmental impact study.  In order to lessen the possibility of them being revoked and to secure the funds for future use on the City's project, the local match of $62,000 is required.

Currently, Task 1 is being completed which determines system yield, studies interconnectivity, and determines the unmet need.  If they determine there is an unmet need, they will move to Task 2.  Task 2 will determine the firm yield available, screen alternatives, and develop a short list of feasible measures.  Once that is completed, they will move to Task 3 which is the detailed feasibility study and a draft Environmental Impact Study.  A status report will be presented by the Army Corps of Engineers at the Council's September meeting.

Should the Council, at any time, decide to cancel or stop the project, unused funds will be returned.
BUDGET ACCOUNT:  Budget amendment required.
