Ordinance changing the speed limit on Short Road from 35 MPH to 25 MPH
 
Body
The City of Crossville has a posted speed limit of 35 MPH for their portion of Short Road.  The City maintains only 500 feet of Short Road, with the remaining portion of road being outside the City limits.  Cumberland County has a posted speed limit of 25 MPH for Short Road.  The City Street Department recommends lowering the speed limit for the 500 feet of roadway to 25 MPH to comply with the County section.  Police Chief David Beaty has been contacted in regards to this requested change, and is in full support of the action.

Recommended Action
Adopt the ordinance on third and final reading to reduce the City's speed limit to 25 MPH.
