Discussion and action regarding proposed license agreement for downtown parking

SUMMARY: Dr. Kendall Morrison has submitted a proposal to the City for the use of a parking area she owns on the corners of Taylor Avenue and Thurman Avenue. The proposal is for public parking hours between the hours of 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday and then all weekend (5 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday) for a fee of $430.00 or an annual fee of $4,900. The fee includes maintenance costs for monthly trash pickup and repaving/restriping, which is completed approximately every 3 years. Dr. Morrison also requests to be added as an additional insured on the City’s liability insurance policy. The entire request is attached.
