SUMMARY:
Bids were received on October 29 for a three (3) year period, with the option by the City to renew for one additional two (2) year term. Following review of the bids, the IT Dept. recommends that Frontier be awarded the contract on telephones and VolFirst be awarded the contract on data and video. The cost will be approximately the same as the current contract with VolFirst. Because of the switch from VolFirst to Frontier for telephone, the current contract with VolFirst will need to be extended from November 9 until approximately December 2 to allow Frontier to install the necessary devices so that there will a seamless transition.

NECESSARY COUNCIL ACTION: Award the telephone contract to Frontier and the data and video contracts to VolFirst for three years and approve an extension of the VolFirst contract on telephones until Frontier has installation complete.
