Discussion and possible action on refuse collection in mobile home parks

SUMMARY:
Tom Baker, owner of Maranatha Mobile Home Park, has asked to speak to the Council regarding refuse collection in his mobile home park. He is requesting cans for each of the mobile homes and weekly collection. A survey of the other mobile home parks found that they all had dumpsters. Crossville Municipal Code § 14-404 (G) (1) addresses this issue “”The mobile home park must provide acceptable refuse collection stands and/or containers per space, and/or an accessible enclosed dumpster location, properly maintained and managed so that no health hazards, rodent harborage or insect breeding problems are created.”
