SUMMARY: The City of Crossville is subdividing a portion of their property along Industrial Blvd and Duer Court for the purpose of industrial / commercial development. There are currently no water or sewer lines located on Duer Court. The City is requesting a variance for the requirement of a financial guarantee for the installation of the water and sewer, since it would be putting up a guarantee against itself. Duer Court is currently a gravel road, however it has been accepted as an official City Street at its current condition. The City is planning to pave the road, but a financial guarantee is not required since the road has already been accepted as a City Street.

 

VARIANCE REQUEST: A variance is being requested for the requirement of a financial guarantee for the installation of water and sewer lines.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:  Staff recommends the approval of the variance.
