SUMMARY: The Crossville Tree Board planted trees to beautify the on and off ramps at the following locations:
Cumberland County at: Eastbound Off-Ramp Exit 320, Eastbound On-Ramp Exit 320,
Eastbound Off-Ramp Exit 322, Eastbound On-Ramp Exit 322, Westbound Off-Ramp
Exit 322, Westbound On-Ramp Exit 322, Westbound Off-Ramp Exit 320, Westbound
On-Ramp Exit 320, Westbound Off-Ramp Exit 317, and Westbound On-Ramp Exit 317
The Crossville Tree Board received verbal approval from TDOT in 2015 to plant the trees and planted the trees in January 2016. New TDOT regulations now require a permit/contract.
The City Attorney has reviewed the contract and does not have any suggested revisions. By approving the contract, the City understands that if damage is caused or the roadway is blocked, the City will be held responsible.
The trees were staked with metal posts and TDOT has requested that those be replaced with wooden posts, which will be done by May 15, 2016.
