SUMMARY: With the announcement that Rogers Group Rock Yard will be closing the plant off Maryetta Street, the City of Crossville has been given the opportunity to purchase the remaining 33C gravel at the plant for $10.00 per ton. It is estimated approximately 2700 tons are available. The Street Supervisor recommends purchasing the gravel for an estimated cost of $27,000. The purchase offers a cost savings to the City of Crossville of about $5,000, and the gravel will be put in stockpile and used as needed.
