Ordinance closing unimproved right-of-way for Good Samaritans

SUMMARY:

A request has been received from Cumberland Good Samaritans for the closure of undeveloped right-of-way platted through the middle of their two properties so that they can build a facility across the right of way.  The request is on the Planning Commission’s September 15^th meeting for a recommendation.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the closure of the right-of-way between their two properties with the property owner paying for the survey and re-platting, to prevent the creation of non-buildable lots.

NECESSARY COUNCIL ACTION:  Pass ordinance closing the right-of-way.
