Approval of Entry Level Firefighter Agreement

SUMMARY: The Fire Department is requesting that an Agreement be approved for use by their department for entry level firefighters. There are extensive costs involved in certifying and training a new recruit. This Agreement would allow for the department to be reimbursed for some of those costs should the employee separate from the employ of the City. This agreement is similar to one that has been used in the hiring of police officers for many years.
