Approval of Industrial Site Development grant contracts

SUMMARY:
Approval is required for the grant contract for the $500,000 grant for the industrial site building pad. With the County contributing up to $250,000 in local matching funds, an interlocal agreement was prepared the City Clerk to outline the process for the administration, receipt, and disbursement of funds. This agreement has been signed by the County Mayor.
As part of the grant, the City is required to apply for the Tennessee Sites Certification Program for this property. Authorization to provide this paperwork is requested.

NECESSARY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve grant contract, Interlocal Agreement, and application to the Tennessee Sites Certification Program.
