Ordinance amending §1-102 pertaining to Order of Business

SUMMARY: It has been suggested that the Chamber Director could provide his monthly report to the Council in the same manner as the Department Heads for inclusion in the City Manager’s Report; thus saving the Chamber Director a trip and cutting down on the Council’s meeting time. Any major developments such as an announcement of a new industry or a discussion requiring his presence would be handled on an as needed basis.
Following discussions with several Council members and the Marketing Director, the City Manager is recommending that the Marketing Report be removed from the regular agenda. The Marketing Director will provide weekly reports to the City Manager and Council via e-mail.
An ordinance is required to remove these items from the Order of Business.
